I know that is a bit difficult, but I suggest you to include a real simulation of sound, like RSE in guitarPro 5

i don't know what is RSE...
but i think understand the suggestion..
the problem is Java Sound Api doesn't have support to open Sound Fonts
it only work with soundbanks...
so, to do this, is required to load an external synthesizer..
i made a native plugin to do this "TuxGuitar-alsa", but its is only for linux..

Oh ok, I use linux so i will try it....

RSE stay for: realistic sound engine and is used on guitar pro version 5

RSE is totally useless !

Even if some people like it, I think that it's absolutely not the priority for the moment (maybe in a 2.0 or more).

For the moment, we need things more important like marquers, piano displayer, PO/HO full support, etc...

adam, I agree. I recently switched from Windows to Linux immediately after I was neutrally educated on how Windows handles its files and how Linux/Unix/Mac handle theirs, and I miss GP5's RSE. But even as a bass guitar and guitar player I'm fine with no RSE for a while if it means more important improvements going in its place.

Jimi, this topic is totally old.

If you miss RSE so much try using Timidity as MIDI server with some quality soundfont, you will find it very similar to RSE.
