Subject Copy And Paste

I don't know if anyone has asked before but is there anyway the program can have more than one window open for a copy past function or combining tracks because when me and my band mates make music and email it to each other it sometimes ends up in more than 2 files and i would like to combine the tracks to view the whole song without having to close and re open different files just to hear the whole thing. Anyone know how to do this if it's even possible?

I copy & paste all the time, but you can't have both windows open at the same time. You have to select what you want to copy & paste in the current open window, then do File > Open and select the other tab file you want to paste to. It's not a very good way of doing it, but it works.
