When tuxguitar are begin starts I see version 1.0 on splash screen, but I have tuxguitar-1.1-1.fc11.x86_64. Can you solve this bug?

Yes we are noticed about this issue. but, we still can't solve it.

why ?? well it's easy.
all fixed bugs, are allways available on next release.
and, next release will be 1.2
so add 1.1 on development version, to later rename it to 1.2 makes no sense.

Just for the record, the file in svn

still shows 1.0

In that case, why not simply take the version number off the splash image and overlay it programatically?

The about box manages to display the correct version number.

jayse, the about box is a different thing... it's just a normal window and the version number is a label.

the splash screen is a .png file provided by the skin..
so yes it's possible to add to it the version number
* how do we know if the skin's author want to display it ?

* if a new skin also contains the version number.. how do we know it's at same X Y possition on the image file ?

* ok, previous questions can be answered using some skin configuration file.. but then we have the next question.. "how to manage the fonts"
tuxguitar is multiplatform, but native fonts don't..
i mean.. if you design a tuxguitar skin.. and use some fonts that your system have.. then when another user run the application in another OS, tuxguitar will not able to use same fonts.. so it use other.. and it could looks like horrible...
